Magic on The Edge - Success

Each year, we create and produce a new show just for the Adelaide Fringe season. This is our fifth year of presenting in the Adelaide Fringe. Our show this year is called Success and follows the excitment, joys, and challenges of bringing a new idea to life.

My Dad used to say, “anything worth having comes at a price”. Are you willing to pay what it takes for Success? Success is not always a direct path; not everything works out like we planned; maybe, we think we are just not good enough. Overcoming self-doubt and fighting off those destructive thoughts may be the biggest battles we experience.
Share the excitement of a new adventure as it lights a fire and drives us to aim higher and try new things to reach our goal. Journey the roller-coaster of progress in a light-hearted, magically punctuated, storytelling, showcase of wonder.

This is a show for the whole family. Although mental health themes are addressed, it is in a form suitable for primary ages and above. Everyone will enjoy the sense of fun displayed as we strive for Success.

I believe that real magic comes from real life. The most amazing magic is in the lives of the people around us.

This is a unique and custom built show for this year's Fringe.

Story of experience and joining the Fringe

We can talk about what happens in developing a Fringe show. What is it like the first time, and how to cope with nerves, etc. Especially in relation to the topic of this year's shouw, we discuss the challenges of persevering with the development of a new idea as we are faced with challeneges and even early failures.

The workshop can lead into preparing and presenting a simple effect to the group and either working together on a presentation of combatting the nerves of flying solo.
